Albert Reiner-Glaap studied English, Latin and Philosophy at the University London/England, King’s College.
He began his career as a teacher of English at secondary schools in Dusseldorf and Philadelphia. Since 1973 he has been Professor of English at Neuss and at Heinrich Heine University of Dusseldorf. His main fields of research have been contemporary English, Canadian and New Zealand Literature, with special emphasis on theatre and drama. He is published numerous books and articles in all these fields, and in 1991 He was made an honorary officer of the order of the British Empire.
